I am a tenure-track Reader (that is, Assistant Professor) at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai. I started at TIFR in August 2025.
Previously, I have held postdoctoral positions at the
Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI-MiS) (in Wienhard's group) and Heidelberg University (in Pozzetti's group).
I did my PhD at the University of
Michigan with Ralf
Spatzier. Before that, I studied at the Indian
Statistical Institute and Jadavpur University in
Kolkata, my hometown.

I am co-organizing the Mathematics Colloquium at TIFR along with Mohan. See the (tentative) speakers' list here.
In Fall 2026 (July-December 2026), I am co-organizing a semester program on "Surface Group Representations" (into higher rank Lie groups). It will be at LMSI, a newly-founded math research institute in Mumbai.
